I’ve been MIA for a good while. So busy with life. Work / The Thursday Project / more work really.

In other news, The Thursday Project is officially alive. Check us out here, or go crazy and visit our shop on Etsy. Support the cause.

I’ve started going to a Printmaking class at Leeds College of Art, and its wonderful! I’m learning how to actually print properly, and get to use all the amazing inks and printing presses. Yesterday’s class was actually a big disaster. I made a big mess of ink and damp, ripped paper. But here are some of my prints from last week’s class:

On the train to London right now, and feeling very happy about the next few weeks to come.

Listen to Candles, by Daughter. In love.

When I was working on Wednesday evening, I went to see Jodi Picoult talking. She’s an incredible public speaker, and quite an inspiring person, and even if I don’t like all of her books, she has written some pretty incredible ones too. I think what I like most about her is her ability to make controversial issues so accessible to the general public. That’s important. I have since downloaded The Storyteller, Change of Heart and Lone Wolf to read.

In other news, my Etsy shop got its first international order yesterday, YAY. You’ll get to know all about my little shop on 21 April!

I’ll try and think of something a little more interesting to write about next time.

Jake and I visited Colne Valley Museum today – a tiny little museum in Golcar near Huddersfield, and learnt about spinning and weaving. It was a great little place, and definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in yarn and textiles.

I bought this lovely camera strap and I got very excited when it arrived this morning. Now I might have to buy another for my digital camera, too…
